SMEs do much more than contribute to the country’s gross domestic product or employment figures. They shape livelihoods, relationships, and the everyday experience of work. When SMEs thrive, communities stabilise and grow. When they struggle, the impact is felt far beyond the financial results.
We spend up to 70% of our lives at work. It influences how we see ourselves, how we treat others, and how much emotional energy we have left for our families, communities, and life outside work. Yet for many people, work has become a place of pressure and quiet strain rather than purpose, where doing what’s required replaces feeling connected.
